Being that this is the first in the series, I knew after reading it I needed the rest. This book sets us up for the others with background on the vampire race and the slayers out to kill them all off. It's as close to perfect as a author can get with so much information that needs to be conveyed in the pages of a first book.
Speaking from different characters points of view kept it clear from the beginning what was going on within both sides of the war that was raging. It's fast paced with lots of energy and romance. If you’re looking for a great beginning to an amazing series be sure to start your reading here. You won't be disappointed.
